Two million Australians live alone. This housing demographic is the fastest growing sector with a quarter of all Australians living in single person household. We may live alone for a period of or for much of our lives - by choice or not - and we usually land there without much idea of how to make it a contented and happy place. Jane Mathews is an international marketing expert and through her own life experiences she has put together this warm, wise and witty inspirational toolkit for solo living and a happy life - for as long as you need it. In Conversation with award winning journalist Tim Shaw.

Jane Mathews is a global brand expert, successfully guiding companies to brand everything from corn flakes to diamonds, before turning her skills upon herself.  Rather than take the well- trodden path to Italy, India and Indonesia, Jane’s journey of self-discovery and transformation took place in a red doored house in Paddington, Sydney which she shares with her teenage son and his Jeff Koon sized shoes, her naughty daughter, and Rory the farting Airedale.

Tim Shaw is an award-winning journalist with over twenty years’ experience in television and radio broadcasting as a highly respected Host, presenter and producer, MC & Keynote Speaker. He is a member of the Federal Parliamentary Press Gallery since 2016 and elected to the Board of The National Press Club of Australia in 2017. He was the winner of Best Current Affairs Presenter at the 2017 Australian Commercial Radio Awards. Prior to living in Canberra, Tim was the Thailand Correspondent for the Seven Network Australia. He has appeared on all commercial television networks in Australia and on current affairs programs such as the Seven Network’s Today Tonight and My Business.
