ISABEL ALLENDE

Born in Peru and raised in Chile, Isabel Allende is the author of 26 bestselling and critically acclaimed books, including The House of the Spirits, Daughter of Fortune and City of the Beasts. A Chilean immigrant herself, Allende devotes much of her time to human rights causes and, in 1996, founded the Isabel Allende Foundation. She lives in California. Her latest books are The Soul of a Woman and Violetta.

CAROLINE BAUM

Caroline Baum is a writer, journalist, former broadcaster, occasional moderator, curator and photographer. In 2021 she launched her new podcast, Life Sentences, about contemporary biography. In 2020 she was appointed ambassador for the Older Women’s Network in New South Wales. She is the author of Only: A Singular Memoir and is currently working on a second book.
