Kieran Gilbert is Sky News’ first chief news anchor. In this role Kieran leads the Sky News Canberra bureau’s political coverage and anchors major news and special events coverage. Previously chief political reporter at Sky News, Kieran has been with the channel since 2002.

Jane Norman

Jane Norman is a federal political reporter based at the ABC's Parliament House bureau. Originally from Perth, she moved east in 2013 to join the Canberra press gallery to report on politics for TV, radio and digital. So far, she’s covered two election campaigns, three leadership challenges and four prime ministers. Jane regularly hosts coverage of major political events on the ABC’s News Channel, as well as Capital Hill on parliamentary sitting days.

Professor Mark Kenny joined the Australian Studies Institute in 2019 after a high-profile journalistic career culminating in six years as chief political correspondent and national affairs editor of The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and The Canberra Times. A fixture on the ABC’s Insiders, Sky News Agenda, he is a sought after commentator across the country. His research interests include national politics, comparative studies, democracy, and the rise of populism. Mark hosts popular podcast Democracy Sausage, a twice-weekly look at politics and public affairs.
