Patricia O’Brien

Patricia A. O’Brien, born in Darlinghurst, Sydney, is a historian who has authored Errol Flynn: The True Story of Australia’s Hollywood Icon, Tautai: Sāmoa, World History and the Life and Ta’isi O. F. Nelson, The Pacific Muse: Exotic Femininity and the Colonial Pacific, and numerous other works. She has written extensively for The Conversation, The Diplomat, The Saturday Paper and other publications, and appears regularly in international media as a commentator. She teaches at Georgetown University, Washington DC.

Paul Barry

Paul Barry is an award-winning investigative reporter, TV host and author of seven bestselling books, including The Rise and Fall of Alan Bond and The Rise and Rise of Kerry Packer. He recently stepped down as host of the ABC’s respected Media Watch after 11 years in the chair. His latest book is about a fast-talking steel billionaire and latter-day Alan Bond. It’s called The Big Steal: how Sanjeev Gupta fooled Australia and the world.

Paul Collis

Canberra-based poet and Barkindji man, Paul Collis, was awarded the ACT Book of the Year at the ACT Writers Centre Publishing and Awards Night for his work Dancing Home. Paul teaches Indigenous Studies and Creative Writing at the University of Canberra.

Paul Kelly

Paul Kelly is editor-at-large and a former editor-in-chief of The Australian. He writes on Australian politics, policy, history and international relations, and has covered every prime minister from Gough Whitlam to Anthony Albanese. He has written or co-authored twelve books on our politics and history. He has been a fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, a visiting fellow at Kings’ College London and a fellow at the Lowy Institute in Sydney. His latest book is The Twilight of Exceptionalism: The Liberal and Conservative Era.

Peter Papathanasiou

Peter Papathanasiou is the author of five books that have received international acclaim, including a memoir about his adoption and a successful crime series, with The Bolthole as the most recent title. His nonfiction writing has been published by many mainstream media outlets. He holds a PhD in biomedical science and LLB from the Australian National University and Master of Arts in creative writing from City St George’s, University of London.
